Return and Cancellation Policy

Last update: February 2026

1. General Provisions

This Policy establishes the rules for cancellation, rescheduling, and refunds for polygraph examination services ordered through the INTERPOLYS platform. This document supplements our “Terms of Service.”

2. Payment Structure

The cost of INTERPOLYS services is divided into two parts:

  • Booking Fee (Advance). Paid online at the time of application registration. It covers the costs of initial case processing, expert assignment, and resource reservation. This amount is deducted from the total cost of the examination.

  •
  • Remaining Balance. Paid on the day of the examination according to the approved rates for the selected location.

3. Cancellation Regulations

3.1. Cancellation by the Client

  • More than 48 hours before the test: The booking fee is non-refundable; however, the client is entitled to one free rescheduling (see Section 4).

  •
  • Less than 48 hours before the test: The booking fee is non-refundable, and the right to reschedule is voided. In the case of full prepayment, the entire amount is retained.

  •
  • No-show: All funds paid are retained in full. Rescheduling is not possible.

3.2. Cancellation by INTERPOLYS

In the event of expert illness, technical failures, or lack of access to the premises:

  • We will offer an alternative date within 30 business days.

  •
  • If a new date cannot be agreed upon, we will refund all funds paid in full.

  •
  • The company is not responsible for indirect costs incurred by the client (travel, accommodation, etc.).

4. Rescheduling (Reprogramming)

Requests for rescheduling are accepted at least 48 hours before the examination.

  • Rescheduling is performed free of charge once, subject to the expert’s availability.

  •
  • Any subsequent date changes may be subject to an administrative fee.

  •
  • Requests submitted less than 48 hours in advance are treated as a cancellation (see Section 3.1).

5. Refusal to Conduct the Test by the Expert

If, after reviewing the questionnaire, the expert determines the case is unsuitable for testing (for medical, ethical, or legal reasons):

  • The booking fee is refunded to the client in full.

  •
  • The refund processing time is between 5 and 10 business days.

6. Termination of Examination Due to Client Fault

The examination is terminated immediately without a refund or the right to reschedule in the following cases:

  • Aggressive behavior or threats towards staff.

  •
  • Attempted bribery or fraud.

  •
  • Use of physical or pharmacological countermeasures against the polygraph.

  •
  • Lack of identification documents.

  •
  • State of alcohol or drug intoxication.

7. Right of Withdrawal (According to EU Legislation)

The consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days. However:

  • If preparatory work (questionnaire analysis, room booking) has already begun, a fee of 100 € is retained as payment for administrative services actually rendered.

  •
  • If the test has already been conducted, the right of withdrawal does not apply.
